Kia said it is taking part for the first time in the defense industry exhibition BSDA 2026, held in Bucharest, Romania, from May 13 to 15 local time, where it is displaying military vehicles. BSDA, regarded as a leading defense exhibition in Eastern Europe, marks its 10th edition this year. Kia unveiled in Europe for the first time a military command vehicle based on the mid-size pickup truck Tasman. The model adds military operating specifications such as radio equipment and lighting control to reduce exposure, along with the off-road capability typical of a pickup. It has been deployed since last year as a standard command vehicle for South Korea’s armed forces. Kia also displayed the KLTV two-seat cargo light tactical vehicle, capable of driving through 760 mm-deep streams, around 31-degree vertical slopes and around 22-degree side slopes. Hyundai Rotem demonstrated functions of a multipurpose unmanned vehicle at the same venue. Source: rss.donga.com
