Published: · Source: hankyung.com

Transactions of “small buildings,” or mid- and small-sized commercial real estate assets, are rising again in Seoul’s commercial building market. According to a May 13, 2026 report by Hankyung, commercial real estate service company RSQUARE analyzed Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport transaction data and found that Seoul’s commercial and business property market recorded a transaction value of 1.6841 trillion won in March. Small-building deals rose 25% during the period. The report said large assets remain in a wait-and-see phase, while mid- and small-sized assets are trading more actively. The trend shows investment demand in Seoul’s commercial real estate market shifting more toward smaller assets than large buildings. Source: hankyung.com
