Homeplus Rejects Rehabilitation Claims, Denies MBK Recovered Investment
Published: · Source: rss.donga.com

Homeplus issued a statement on the 15th to explain the facts surrounding concerns and controversy over its corporate rehabilitation process. The company said the process is being conducted under the management and supervision of the rehabilitation court in accordance with the Debtor Rehabilitation and Bankruptcy Act. It rejected claims that MBK Partners is directly operating the process or making independent decisions, saying that view differs from the actual structure. Since the process began, company operations and rehabilitation planning have been led by a court-appointed administrator, while major matters proceed through consultations with creditors and other stakeholders and require court approval. Homeplus also drew a line against claims that MBK Partners is recovering its investment through the procedure, saying they are not true. It also addressed suspicions related to the recently pursued sale of Homeplus Express. Source: rss.donga.com
