Tesla FSD Tops 16 Billion km as Korea’s Autonomous Driving Data Gap Hits 1,200 Times
Published: · Source: rss.donga.com

According to Tesla on the 14th, the global cumulative mileage of its Full Self-Driving system recently surpassed 10 billion miles, or about 16 billion km. That is enough to travel between Earth and the Sun more than 50 times and circle Earth 400,000 times. In Korea, FSD arrived last November under a Korea-U.S. FTA safety-standard exemption and is collecting urban driving data. By contrast, the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport estimated that all Korean companies had accumulated about 13.06 million km as of last November, equal to 326 trips around Earth. Google’s Waymo and China’s Baidu have each secured more than 300 million km. The widening data gap is raising concerns over Korea’s future vehicle competitiveness. Source: rss.donga.com
