Kia held an official launch event for the PV5, its first purpose-built vehicle model, on the 13th at the Kia PBV Japan Tokyo Nishi directly operated store in Tokyo, Japan, and announced the start of local pre-orders. The PV5 emphasizes the box-car design favored by Japanese consumers and multipurpose usability. Attendees included Kim Sang-dae, vice president and head of Kia’s PBV Business Division, and Yasunari Tajima, CEO of Kia PBV Japan. Kia introduced its Japan market plan based on its global PBV business strategy and said the vehicle uses a customized structure and advanced technologies to meet local lifestyles and business needs.
