Seoul Apartment Prices Top 1.55 Billion Won, Demand Shifts to Public Housing Sales

Demand from end users is moving toward public housing sales in the Seoul metropolitan area after Seoul’s average apartment resale price climbed into the mid-1.5 billion won range in May 2026. According to KB Real Estate Data Hub, Seoul’s average apartment resale price stood at 1.55454 billion won in March 2026, up 257.34 million won from 1.2972 billion won in March 2025. HUG data also showed Seoul’s average private apartment presale price at 54.7998 million won per 3.3 square meters in March, a record-high level. Gwacheon Juam C1 Block drew 11,849 applicants for 14 general-supply units, a 846.4-to-1 ratio, while Namyangju Wangsuk B-17 Block posted 109.6 to 1.
