Lotte E&C Composite Column Method Gains MOLIT New Construction Technology Status

Lotte E&C has obtained New Construction Technology certification from South Korea’s Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for a composite column construction method developed with POSCO E&C, Hyosung Heavy Industries and Deokam Tech. The method integrates the pre-foundation and column to improve the structural safety and constructability of building columns. According to the original report, the technology focuses on securing safety during column construction and contributing to shorter construction periods. As both structural reliability and process efficiency are key on construction sites, the new technology is expected to draw attention as a case for improving buildability in similar projects.
